What is happening with Hayden Panettiere right now???
Last month, fans grew concerned for the actress after she opened up about losing custody of her daughter Kaya, the sudden death of her brother Jansen, and more in an interview with People. It was a very emotional conversation. Yet, people mainly focused on her slurred speech, the struggle to articulate herself, and her glazed eyes. The backlash got to the point where she had to say something. Clapping back at the criticism she received, Hayden made it clear she was “exhausted” — and that’s it. The Nashville alum also shared an important reminder about mental health, saying:
“Grief looks different on everyone. Whether or not I am on medication is none of anyone’s business and is between me and my doctor. I am doing interviews to promote my new film because I am proud of it. The real issue here is the toxicity of social media, and a news cycle that is driven by click bait. Mental health is so important, and I hope those reading this now understand that what you say hiding behind a computer screen can have a detrimental impact on someone.”
Weeks later, a shocking report dropped about Hayden. A source close to the family told InTouch on Wednesday that she is back in rehab after a family member went to Los Angeles to get her help.

The intervention reportedly happened on October 6. And there is more that went down, too! The insider added that the relative removed Hayden’s boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, from her home.
Whoa.
Notably, Brian has a concerning past. He was arrested and charged with felony domestic violence against Panettiere in May 2019. Despite the incident, the pair got back together. Brian was busted again for DV in July 2020, even spending 13 days in jail after pleading no contest to two felony counts of injuring a partner. We hope whatever supposedly happened did not involve something like that again — if the report is true. As for her entering rehab? At this time, Hayden has not addressed the claims. However, she did post on Instagram on Thursday a picture of herself on a getaway after escaping Hurricane Milton:
“Vacation…narrowly escaped the hurricane. Stay safe out there everyone. My heart goes out to all who have been affected.”
