Everything fans read in Hayden Panettiere’s book is 100 percent true, even those shocking stories about the “very famous” men she has encountered over the years. She swears.
As you know, her new memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning, dropped earlier this week, in which she recalls disturbing instances with a few male stars — including one who exposed himself to her at a party when she was 19. Another time, a friend, Stella McAmis, whom she once trusted, put her in bed with a “very famous” and completely naked British singer in his 30s when she was 18. Awful.

Following the jaw-dropping claims, Tamron Hall pointed out during an interview with Hayden on her eponymous show on Wednesday that the Scream 4 star has “set off this whodunnit” frenzy online because she didn’t name all the names. She explained that she did “want to call people out” but couldn’t due to her career:
“This is still an industry I have to exist in and people are not, like, readily willing to admit to what they did.”
Hayden also wanted to “tell [her] stories without dragging anything else through the mud.” And she wants to make it clear that just because she didn’t reveal the guys’ identities doesn’t mean she is lying! Hayden insisted she didn’t make stories “like that up just to sell a book,” adding:
“You don’t [do that], sorry. Been doing this too long.”
The Nashville alum then agreed with Tamron that “this is [her] story” to tell before saying:
“[It has] nothing to do with [selling books].”
You hear that, Lesley Vogel! Your daughter is not out here making things up for fun! Watch the full interview (below):
