Heather Locklear Is Trying To Make Nice With The Police After Multiple Ugly Incidents Back In 2018

Heather Locklear is trying to redeem herself with the Ventura County law enforcement!

Based on what things sound like here, we sure are happy to see Heather Locklear on the road to redemption!

The Spin City alum is apparently ready to make nice with the police in her local neighborhood just outside El Lay, nearly two years after a string of ugly, high-profile incidents. And from the sound of things, the local cops are apparently all for it — and game to forgive and forget!

According to TMZ, Locklear has been busy lately, actively working to repair her relationship with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office after some unfortunate run-ins back in 2018. For some deputies around town, that’s meant the treat of free coffee and a conversation as the former Melrose Place icon goes about apologizing and redeeming herself.

She’s done more high-profile things, too, like taking part in the sheriff’s annual “Tip-A-Cop” event, where deputies serve as waiters at a local restaurant and tips are donated to charity. Per the outlet, she apparently did lunch and dinner at the establishment, leaving more than $1,500 in tips that went to a Special Olympics charity. Talk about having a positive impact!

Insiders close to law enforcement in the area report that the police are ecstatic about her improvements here — and her sobriety. As you’d probably expect, the cops “never took her actions personally and understood she needed help” during that rough patch two years ago, so to see Heather really settling into a new life and thriving now is icing on the cake for them. A job well done by all, it’d seem!

What a difference two years makes…

Flash back to March 2018 when police hit up Locklear’s Thousand Oaks home with a search warrant to look for a gun, at which point she told cops “if you ever come back to my house I will shoot you.” That followed a particularly ugly felony domestic violence arrest, of course, as well as noted substance abuse issues that culminated in quite a bit of police contact.

Three months later, the TV star was busted for allegedly punching a deputy and kicking an EMT, as well, though she pled no contest to eight misdemeanors stemming from those charges and was eventually sent to a residential mental health facility for 30 days. No wonder she’s trying to make some amends after high-profile incidents like that!

We’re so happy for the 58-year-old celeb, as it sounds like she’s really got her life back on track and moving forward again. What a wonderful comeback story!

We couldn’t be happier to see so much progress and optimism for the future ahead!!!
