Heather Locklear Splits From Fiancé... Right As Ex Tommy Lee & Brittany Furlan Break Up!

Tommy Lee and Brittany Furlan aren’t the only ones going through a breakup right now! His ex-wife is, too!

A week after the couple’s separation news broke, Us Weekly reported on Friday that Heather Locklear is single again! The Melrose Place alum broke up with her longtime fiancé Chris Heisser — and she’s ready to mingle, too. Multiple sources confirmed the news, with one saying:

“Heather and Chris are no longer together. Heather is single and she’s ready to date again.”

Is Heather ready to move on too fast? Actually, it turns out she and Chris have been over for months! Another insider said:

“She hasn’t seen Chris since the New Year but wishes him all the best.”

Since January?! The pair kept the breakup a secret for a while! Impressive! For those who don’t know, Heather and Chris have a long history together. They briefly dated in high school during the ‘70s and reconnected decades later. In 2017, the pair got back together but broke up two years later amid her battle with addiction and arrests. Chris and Heather didn’t stay away from each other for long, though! They rekindled their romance one year later.

Things between them were going great, and they even got engaged in 2020. But five years later, she is no longer planning a wedding! Instead, she’s starting from scratch and back on the market again! Oof! What happened? Why did the high school sweethearts decide to go their separate ways?

Us Weekly didn’t reveal a ton of details about what led to the breakup, but the first source claimed they did not have a dramatic falling out. It was just “a slow fizzle.” In fact, the split was so amicable that they are pals and continue to have each other’s backs when it comes to their sobriety! The insider added:

“They are still friends and support each other’s sobriety. They are not spending as much time with each other. It’s minimal. She’s focusing on herself. She is sober and doing really well.”

Amazing! Heather is now spending time with her girlfriends and with her 27-year-old daughter Ava, whom she shares with ex-husband Richie Sambora:

“Heather’s main focus is her sobriety, gardening, cooking, and spending quality time with her daughter Ava and her friends.”

It also sounds like the Spin City star wants to get back out there and date! And we have to wonder: Does Heather want to meet someone new, or is she interested in reconnecting with another ex? Say… Tommy Lee? The pair were married from 1986 to 1993. Heather has gotten back with exes before, and Tommy may or may not be single at this time…

The Mötley Crüe drummer separated from Brittany this month — and unlike Heather’s conscious uncoupling, their split has been dramatic AF! The comedian sort of cheated on Tommy with a Ronnie Radke catfish! She talked to the Falling In Reverse frontman impersonator on Snapchat and even tried to go to his house. When Brittany admitted to the betrayal, the musician went off on Ronnie, who insists he’s not behind the account, and publicly called Brittany “thirsty.”

However, Brittany and Tommy had a few days to cool off, and it appears they are hanging out again. We have no clue if Tommy and Brittany’s meetup means they are working things out or not. But if the two aren’t getting back together, would Heather give him another shot? Even though he cheated on her back in the day? The timing of their respective splits is certainly noteworthy… though likely a wild coincidence.

Also, apologies to any hair metal shippers who were hoping for a redux! But we have a wrench to throw into the idea. Brittany told People in 2023 that she and Heather “are very close!” Getting with Tommy, even if he was her ex first, wouldn’t be a girl’s girl move! You don’t do that to a friend! Yet even the podcaster knows that Heather is “the one that got away” from Tommy and “was the love of his life.” Huh. Regardless, the actress wouldn’t do this to Brittany, right?
