Hero Crossing Guard Who Saved A Child From Truck Crash Nightmare Goes Viral After Eating Ice Cream During Interview!

A crossing guard from Philadelphia is going viral after he saved a child — and rewarded himself with an ice cream cone!

On Tuesday, a scary incident occurred in Philly when a stolen truck crashed into a children’s playground near S. Weir Mitchell Elementary School on Tuesday. Luckily, no pedestrians or kids were injured, and for that the city can thank crossing guard Jamele Ransom!

The crash happened after what police are describing as a “multi-district crime spree” — whoa. According to what the Philadelphia Police Department shared with People, a white utility truck was stolen and driven recklessly through the city:

“Surveillance footage tracked the stolen vehicle as it struck a parked SUV on Elmwood Avenue, jumped a curb to travel along a sidewalk.”

From there, the truck t-boned another vehicle which set off a chain-reaction crash. Then the stolen truck crashed into the playground and would later be seen lying on its side. How terrifying!

The crossing guard did an interview with NBC Philadelphia that’s now gone viral, not only for his heroic actions, but the way he was eating an ice cream cone during the shoot. He said to the journalist, describing the scene:

“He ran the red light, t-boned the lady. I’m bobbing and weaving. I’m just thankful. Thankful to be alive right now. Thank you, Jesus.”

He even said he had to pull someone’s “nephew” out of one of the vehicles after the collision:

“I grab a kid out, because he’s stuck, frantic, pull him out. Ain’t nobody in there. Guy’s in there. He’s trapped in there. Then I run out and get myself together because my heart is boom, boom, boom, boom.”

OMG!
