According to Vogue, the actress and the social venture entrepreneur met on “a blind date set up by actor Misha Collins’s wife Vicki and another close friend Jean,” and got engaged a year and a half later.
The bride wore an Elie Saab Couture wedding dress, which took a total of 150 hours to complete. She told the publication:
“I’ve loved Elie Saab for years and was thrilled to have him design my dress.”
The Million Dollar Baby thespian said the inspiration for her dress came from nature, explaining:
“I wanted something romantic that felt as timeless as the redwood grove where we were to be married, and he delivered—designing something that far surpassed my greatest expectations. It was everything I imagined and more.”
Hilary’s maid of honor was fellow actress Mariska Hargitay, while Philip’s best man was his father, Phil.
For the post-ceremony celebration, Swank wore a Dior dress as she and her new-husband surprised guests with a tap dance routine to Moby‘s In My Heart. Both of their dancing and wedding shoes were designed by Christian Louboutin.
For dinner, guests ate spinach and kale salads, local Monterey Bay salmon, grilled cauliflower, and a gluten-free and vegan chocolate cake.
Overall, Swank had the time of her life!
“It was timeless. There’s just no other way to describe it… It was truly a dream come true.”
Congrats, you two!
