The flick focuses on a group of Brooklyn hipsters who decide to go camping for some R&R.
No big deal, right? Except the world ends and they’re cut off from civilization!
What’s got filmmaker Ben Dickson and his crew in hot water is that they killed TWO deer to solve the characters’ hunger issues.
Actress Paula Manza shot the deer (hipsters have guns?) and hunting in New York requires a permit and education course.
Dickson admits the deer killing could’ve been faked. He states:
[I]n the end, I was convinced that it had to be authentic, and I was prepared to change the story if need be.
I would recommend dressing an animal to anyone, especially if you eat meat or wear leather; it changes your perspective.
Or you could just not kill helpless creatures?
