Dakota Mortensen is upset about everything that has gone down with his ex-girlfriend/baby mama, Taylor Frankie Paul.
Perezcious readers know the pair got into an alleged domestic dispute during Season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which halted production. Taylor has since addressed the messy situation, saying that it has been a “stressful” and “heavy” time for her. Dakota has yet to make a statement, but some insight into how he’s doing amid the controversy is coming out. A source told Us Weekly on Tuesday:
“He’s feeling hurt and disappointed by how everything unfolded when she came back to Utah.”

According to the insider, Dakota “really wanted” to give Taylor “space to have her moment” as the leading lady for The Bachelorette. If so, why did he beg her to “save” him a rose during the Season 4 finale of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives? It sounded like he wanted her to come home single and return to him despite their toxic relationship. Hmm. However, the insider insisted Dakota “was trying to be supportive and stay out of the way, even when things were difficult between them.” And when The Bachelorette ended, he thought they “would finally be on a good path.”
We all know that didn’t happen. Things are really bad between them due to their conflict, which now involves the police and DCFS. Despite the situation, the source said Dakota’s “No. 1 priority” is their almost 2-year-old son, Ever.
