How Pregnant Cassie Got Through Harrowing Testimony In Diddy Trial

Testifying in court against your abuser alone is probably one of the most difficult and vulnerable things a person can do… So imagine how much more difficult it must have been for Cassie to do it while eight months pregnant.

During day two and three of Diddy’s sex trafficking trial in New York, Cassie took the stand to testify about all the abuse, degradation, humiliation, and suffering she was subjected to during her decade-long relationship with the rap mogul. No easy feat by any means… So the fact that she was able to do it while eight months into her pregnancy with husband Alex Fine speaks volumes to how dedicated she must be to seeing justice served! But seriously, how did she do it? Well a new report claims family, friends, and faith were all a major part of it.

On Wednesday, an insider told DailyMail.com:

“Cassie prayed with her friends and family on a call to encourage her before getting ready to testify on Tuesday morning.”

She’s extremely lucky to have so much support in her corner. After so vulnerably opening up about the horrors she was subjected to, she needs all the support she can get. But she’s not the only one with support on her side…

The insider claimed she was “distressed to learn that there are Diddy supporters at the court.” Several of Diddy’s family members, including step son Quincy Brown, 33, sons Justin, 31, and King, 27, daughters Chance, D’Lila, and Jessie, all 18, as well as his mother Janice, 85, have all turned out to offer their support. The insider claimed:

“Cassie wasn’t shocked that his kids were there. She knows that they are there to help his reputation.”

As for her camp, Alex has been in the courtroom with her through it all — and reportedly had an emotional reaction to sex worker Daniel Phillip’s testimony. If you didn’t hear about it, Phillip is the sex worker who claimed Cassie asked him to urinate on her, rather than the prior belief Diddy forced him to do so:

“Her husband was in tears after the sex worker’s testimony, and he had to be calmed down because he was so angry. Anyone who believes she wanted to be urinated on and abused is out of their mind.”

We all know Cassie was scared to defy Diddy because of what he’s capable of… One of the many things being threatening to release “freak-off” footage of her, which she claimed in court was “horrible and disgusting” and that “no one should do that to anyone.”

But despite all the trauma she’s had to once again experience by airing this all out, the insider insists she “feels liberated by speaking out about what happened to her.” Particularly since “Diddy held the tapes over her head for years so speaking about it meant any attempts to blackmail her as was done in the past were worthless.”

We’re so happy he no longer has that power over her. The source finished:

“She knows she is inspiring people to speak out against abusers so feels empowered and has been receiving tips and coping strategies from a therapist to help her deal with the horrific memories. She has also been talking to a therapist to help her deal with the horrific memories and the enormity of testifying.”

We hope she continues to heal as best she can from the atrocities she’s opened up about. And we wish her and Alex nothing but love as they anticipate the arrival of their third child together. She’s back in court today, and Diddy’s defense is preparing to hit her hard.
