Tom Brady may be putting on a brave face amid his ex-wife’s pregnancy announcement publicly… But privately, he’s reeling, sources claim.
Gisele Bündchen shocked fans on Monday with news she’s expecting a child with Jiu Jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente two years after her divorce from the NFL legend. We heard she gave Tom a heads up prior to going public with the news out of respect, but that apparently didn’t make it any easier to digest. On Tuesday, an insider told DailyMail.com:
“Finding out Gisele was pregnant stung. Tom had to get out his feelings about it and he did it in his own time. There’s not a lot of people who see the Tom behind closed doors, but those that do could see he was upset. It was a hard pill to swallow. It was never something he ever thought was going to happen.”
Yikes! We guess that explains his emo Instagram Story post after the news surfaced!

But while he may still be coming to terms with his ex-wife’s new reality, his goal is to just keep on keeping on. The insider dished:
“But she is still the mother of two of his children, so he wants her to be okay. He has to move on and with her pregnant, she has definitely moved on, so he can’t be upset about it anymore. It is out of his control, out of his hands. He is not letting it get to him anymore.”
Tom and Gisele share son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11. Tom also shares 17-year-old Jack with ex Bridget Moynahan — and the retired athlete hasn’t forgotten how Gisele embraced the child with open arms when they first got together:
“Back in the day when they started to fall in love, she accepted and loved his son that he already had, so he is going to give the same respect to her future child. At the end of the day, everyone is still family.”
So mature! We guess there was no way this was ever not going to hurt a bit, no matter where they stand now. But we’re glad to hear Tom has this sort of mindset — especially since the kids seem to be excited about it.
