These two are moving quickly!
Hugh Jackman is ready to get married to Sutton Foster — just weeks after going public with their romance! On Friday, a source close to the actor told Closer that Hugh “wants to make Sutton his wife” — a realization he had right after returning home from a trip to Australia. They spilled the tea:
“Hugh had a lot of back and forth while he was in Australia for the holidays but ultimately, he realised how much he missed her. The magic came flooding back when they reunited and ultimately marriage is the end game for these two. Hugh is clear he wants to make Sutton his wife.”

There’s just one big problem — they’re both still legally married! The source noted that “as soon as they are both free and clear they (Jackman and Foster) want to walk down the aisle.” But how long could that take?!
As Perezcious readers know, reports surfaced that Hugh and Sutton started having an affair during their time on The Music Man, which began in 2021 — and this is something his estranged wife Deborra-Lee Furness recently seemed to confirm. Brutal!
The Wolverine star had previously announced his split from his longtime wife Deborra-Lee in September 2023. It seemed amicable at first… until it wasn’t! As rumors of his romance with the Younger lead made waves, Sutton eventually filed for divorce from her husband Ted Griffin in October. Then last month, she started stepping out with Hugh in several PDA-filled sightings! They went from 0 to 100 very fast.
That said, neither star has finalized a split. In fact, Hugh and Deborra-Lee haven’t even filed for divorce. According to DailyMail.com, their split is likely to be VERY “messy” since they did not sign a prenup! So, don’t hold your breath on a wedding just yet. It could be a while until they get things sorted out, especially if Hugh intends on putting up a fight to protect his fortune.
On the other hand, while a marriage may seem quick, this is nothing new for The Greatest Showman alum. He apparently knew Deborra-Lee was the one just two weeks into their relationship and proposed just four months after meeting her. Wow! Also, let’s not forget, that it’s possible Hugh and Sutton have been together for YEARS! So, this wedding may be a long time coming! But they’ll have to get through their dramatic divorces first!
