Lost boys of Neverland, beware! Hugh Jackman is coming for you!
Well, not literally, but his character is!
Wolverine The Les Miserablé actor has been confirmed to be taking on the role of Blackbeard the pirate in the Warner Bros. Peter Pan adaptation!
And no, they’re not casting him as Blackbeard because he used to have one, although it’s a good thing he has experience wearing one on his face!
Greg Silverman, President of the Creative Development and Worldwide Production at Warner Bros., said of Hugh’s involvement in the featured film:
“Hugh Jackman always delivers indelible performances that resonate with audiences. We know he will create a Blackbeard who will be a powerful presence in this original Peter Pan adventure.”
AMAZEBALLS!
We can’t think of anyone better to play Blackbeard than the former, real-life black-bearded man himself!
Maybe Hugh will grow out his own beard for the role. It beats wearing a fake hairpiece on your face!
