Hunter Hayes is going to be one of the best parts of the Grammys!
And considering some of the acts playing on Sunday, that’s really saying something!

The country crooner gave us the inside deets on how it feels to be nominated!
He said:
“It’s an incredible feeling — any sort of validation from the music industry, the people that you learn from every day, whether you tell them that you’re learning from them or not or whether they realize it, you study all these artists and producers and writers and people in the business that do all the technical stuff that I wish I was good at, but I’m totally not good at. I look up to them and I respect them so much. To get that kind of respect from such a big industry full of people who give their heart and soul everyday to what they do, it’s a really validating feeling and makes you feel like you’re doing something right.”
The moment his category is announced, possibly achieving his “life-long dream” of winning a Grammy, has to be a nerve-wracking prospect!
What is Hunter most looking forward to on the big night?
“Honestly, I’m just looking forward to the show, because the performances are always top-notch and the collaborations are always epic and I’m excited to see all that stuff!”

But one of the things we’re most looking forward to is finally hearing the performance by the winner of Hunter’s “Care Is Musical” contest!
ICYMI, Hunter teamed up with Whirlpool to offer one lucky viewer the chance to sing their own version of You Are My Sunshine dedicated to someone who “shows their love through seemingly small acts of care” during a commercial break!
That person was revealed today as 19-year-old New Jersey native Alex Bell (above)!
After over 400 entries, we can’t wait to hear Alex’s take!
Hunter was thrilled to be involved in the event. He shared:
“The moment when music, that thing we always use to show our care, to show emotion, that art that is built on expression ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ we get to use that chance to let someone step, sort of figuratively step onto the stage and say something that means something to them and to somebody that means something to them. All of this is so special and so unique and I just, I love, love, love it.”
We love it too! And we hope you understand if we cry a little! LOLz!
