What a disappointment!
On Tuesday morning, the ban against same-sex marriage in Idaho was struck down, which was obviously GREAT news for many same-sex couples. Unfortunately, this morning, an emergency court order against same-sex marriage was granted in Idaho which means gay marriage will temporarily blocked. Nevada is involved in the whole ordeal because the appeals court decided to consolidate the two appeal cases.

The Governor of Idaho explained:
“I’m pleased that Justice Kennedy has given us the opportunity to make our case in a way that helps avoid the confusion some other states have faced. I intend to be faithful to my oath of office and keep working to protect the Idaho Constitution and the mandate of Idaho voters in support of traditional marriage.”
The delay will most likely last through the weekend which is sad news for those couples in Idaho and Nevada that hoped to marry right away.
We just hope the block doesn’t last for too long–sexual orientation shouldn’t matter where love and marriage is concerned! [Image via AP Images.]
