Idols Tour Sells Big!

The economy may be in ruins, but the Idols are doing just fine!
The Idols Live tour has consistently sold 82% of its tickets and grossed $11.2 million, fairing with last year’s sales.
Extremely impressive considering that tickets range between $40.50 to $69.50, which runs a dollar higher than 2008’s prices.
In the industry, “40% of tickets go unsold,” said Billboard senior touring editor Ray Waddell. “They’re doing better than average,” especially since “these are baby acts on their first national tour, even if they’ve had the best exposure you can get.”
The primary reason for these HUGE tickets sales?
Glambert, of course!
“The Adam Lambert fan base is incredibly avid,” said a former Idol blogger. “That dedication is what sells tickets.”
And we’re sure Kris Allen sells one or two!
