We’re guessing some couples in Illinois are going to have to turn those candlelight dinner plans into engagement parties tonight!
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the Illinois Senate just passed a bill to legalize same-sex marriage!
The bill passed 34-21 in the Senate and now must move to the House to be made fully legal.
This will make Illinois the tenth state to make gay marriage legal, but three more states are just behind.
Rhode Island, Delaware, and Hawaii have each introduced their own marriage equality acts into their legislatures.
Looks like 13 is going to be the lucky number for someone very soon!
