Sum 41 has another “change of venue”!
As we reported yesterday, Sum 41 and it’s frontman Mr. Lavigne, formerly known as Deryck Whibley, had to cancel their show at a 7,000 capacity venue in Canada and move it to a much smaller location, holding just 1,200.
Now, ANOTHER venue change has been made for an upcoming show this weekend.
According to their concert listings online, “The Sum 41 concert, with special guests Die Mannequin, Social Code and Sound and Fury, previously slated for The Cunard Centre, Pier 23 on Saturday, March 8th has been moved next door to Heritage Hall, Pier 21 (1055 Marginal Road) on the same day. The tickets for The Cunard Centre will be honored at Heritage Hall, Pier 21.”
The concert was moved from the Cunard Centre holding over 4,000 people to the much smaller venue at Heritage Hall fitting only 660!
660!!!
They’ve also had to cancel two concerts, formerly on sale at Ticketmaster, at the Hamilton Convention Centre in Hamilton, ON and at the Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon, SK.
Sucks for Sum 41. Blame it on Avril!
