Will Smith Feeds Conspiracy Theory With New Song Lyrics!

Will Smith has riled up conspiracy theorists around the globe with a peculiar new song lyric!

The Men in Black star dropped a verse on Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba’s Team Tomodachi remix over the weekend, and fed into a conspiracy theory that’s been floating around for a while now… You know, the one where people ACTUALLY think certain celebrities have been replaced with clones! Buckle up.

If you haven’t heard the King Richard star’s new verse, he raps:

“They tried to clone me / make it a body double / but I promise it won’t be another / I’ve had enough / I ain’t with the tough talk / did I st-st-stutter?”

“They tried to…” HUH??

He posted clip of him rapping the lyrics on his Instagram, which you can see and hear for yourself (below):

The clip quickly started catching wind around social media, and @TheShadeRoom on IG reposted it. There, fans really had a heyday with the lyrics in the comments:

“what he said they tried to clone him don’t get my mind to thinking to hard I be into conspiracy”

“we heard it, we heard it… I mean he said it loud and clear.”

“‘THEY TRIED TO CLONE ME’

Seriously, people?? Yes, this is really is something people believe. Kristin Cavallari now infamously said during an episode of her Let’s Be Honest podcast that she “wholeheartedly” believes Kanye West was replaced by a clone. She claimed at the time:

“I wholeheartedly believe what I’m about to say. I think there are clones, and I think Kanye is a clone. I am going to tell you why. Remember he was really talking a lot, saying too much, the Illuminati didn’t like how much he was saying. He said, ‘If I go away and I come back and I look different, that’s not me.’ Remember he fell off the face of the earth? … Look at him! Compare old photos of him. It’s not the same f**king person. It’s not. He didn’t just gain weight.”

OH, and let’s not forget the Avril Lavigne clone theory! That SHE HERSELF shut down on the Call Her Daddy podcast earlier this year, calling the conspiracy “so dumb.” LOLz!

How do we explain the lyrics? We’re guessing Will was rapping about his 2019 movie Gemini Man in which his character DOES get cloned. It would be far from the first time he wrote a rap about one of his movies. Maybe he thought he was going to do a Men In Black or Wild Wild West type thing for that movie, and it got canceled? And he decided to recycle the verse bc he liked it so much?

Alternatively… maybe he was just trying to drop some inflammatory lyrics that he knew would get people taking?? Because if so, mission accomplished!
