US lawmakers aren’t the only politicos US musicians will go after!
Indie group MGMT is reportedly demanding compensation from French president Nicolas Sarkozy for using their song, Kids, as part of his campaign without permission.
The song was featured at a Sarko political rally and in two online campaign videos.
Sarkozy’s people admitted the ‘mistake’ and offered a symbolic gesture of one Euro.
Cheap!
MGMT’s French lawyer rejected the offer and told the media that the offer was “insulting”.
“This offer is disrespectful of the rights of artists and authors. It is insulting,” said the legal eagle.

Good luck!
We wonder if Barack Obama has the boys’ backs.
