Injured Tom DeLay Leaving Dancing With The Stars

And the DWTS curse strikes again!
Former Republican congressman Tom DeLay is expected to announce on tonight’s results show that he must leave the competition due to his foot injuries.
He has stress fractures in both of his feet and despite his doctor’s warning, he performed the samba with partner Cheryl Burke last night. DeLay said of his foot issues as his DWTS training began:

“They put me in Latin shoes with high heels, and my toes almost fell off the first week. So I went to a podiatrist, and I got a little problem with my feet. A cortisone shot cured me up.”

Yet not quite cured enough.
Too bad, Tom, but you put up a decent fight!
