Panic is brewing among right wingers as we near the midterm elections amid declining Donald Trump approval ratings… and you won’t BELIEVE what they’re trying to pass off as a secret plot to take him down.
November 3 marks an important upcoming date: we, as voters, have the opportunity to use our voices to change who we allow to run our country — alongside Trump — through the House of Representatives and the Senate. And far-right conservatives are clearly starting to feel the heat of a potential blue wave, because they’re now trying to rationalize Trump’s declining approval ratings as the result of what they’re trying to sell as sinister, orchestrated biological attacks. Sigh.
As it currently stands, Trump’s approval rating is sitting at a low 37 percent, according to The Economist. We’ve already seen him scrambling to make changes within the Republican party, but ultimately, American citizens will have the final say on November 3. But in the meantime, far-right conservatives and anti-vaxxers are attempting to spread the conspiracy theory that both the recent Hantavirus and Ebola outbreaks have been “engineered” to sabotage Trump’s campaign. How dumb.

According to RadarOnline, anonymous accounts on X (Twitter), Telegram, and other social media sites, have begun accusing pharmaceutical companies, health agencies, and most of all, the Democratic party for preparing a “Covid 2.0”-type scenario to weaken voter belief in Trump and the Republican party’s ability to run the country. According to the outlet, several posts have included claims that the viruses are being used as “biological weapons” to “annihilate” the convicted felon’s support in traditionally red regions. A Washington, DC campaign advisor told the outlet on Wednesday:
“There are people inside the MAGA ecosystem treating every public health warning as a political attack. The idea being pushed is that shadowy elites are preparing another pandemic scare to damage Trump before the midterms.”
A Republican official added:
“The rhetoric has become apocalyptic. Some influencers are openly describing hantavirus and Ebola as ‘political biological weapons’ created to destroy Trump’s movement and force nationwide mail-in voting.”
However, it should be noted that health officials have time and time again shut down theories positioning Hantavirus as a threat on the level of COVID-19. The World Health Organization’s Director of Epidemic and Pandemic Management Maria Van Kerkhove recently stated:
“This is not Covid, this is not the start of a Covid pandemic. This is not the same situation we were in six years ago. It doesn’t spread the same way.”
Global health agencies have also stressed Ebola is currently regionally contained, and travel restrictions have already been put in place to prevent potential US outbreaks.
However, an insider predicts Trump will lean into the theories nonetheless. They told the outlet:
“The president is also likely to frame Democratic opposition and media criticism as coordinated attempts to undermine his administration. Trump is also set to campaign heavily in battleground states, using rallies and conservative media appearances to drive turnout among Republican voters.”
