Gorgeous Miss Universe Runner-Up Comes Out And Makes LGBT History!

Our hearts are absolutely bursting with pride!
Patricia Yurena, a seasoned beauty pageant vet, just came out as a gay woman via Instagram.
The glamorous and gorgeous Patricia won the title of Miss Spain in 2008 and again in 2013 before making it to runner-up in the Miss Universe pageant.
Last week, Patricia shared a romantic snap of herself and her girlfriend, DJ Vanesa Cortes with her 45,000 followers. The beauty queen captioned the pic:

“Romeo and Juilet.”

Patricia’s admission of her sexuality is monumental because it means she’s the first openly gay international beauty queen.
Patricia said of her Instagram announcement:

“I don’t regret what I did and I did it because I am happy about what’s going on in my life.”
