Details For Carrie Fisher & Debbie Reynolds' Forthcoming Public Memorial Revealed

What a beautiful way to pay tribute to Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds!
Despite losing the two film icons back in December, fans will be given the chance to say their goodbyes to the mother-daughter duo on March 25 as a public memorial is being held at the Forest Lawn Cemetery. In case you forgot, the Singin’ In The Rain actress was buried with some of her (equally famous) daughter’s ashes at the famed El Lay cemetery.

And it sounds like the memorial will be quite the affair as a tribute song, written by James Blunt, will be debuted over a touching photo montage. As you may recall, the You’re Beautiful singer was VERY close with the Star Wars actress. The humorist was even the godmother of Blunt’s son.
It’s said the ceremony will take place in Forest Lawn’s 1,200 seat theater. Which is a good thing since the Gay Men’s Chorus Of Los Angeles and dancers from Debbie’s dance school are slated to perform at the memorial. Also, costumes and numerous pieces of memorabilia are going to be on display too.
Reportedly, Carrie’s daughter Billie Lourd and beloved dog Gary will be in attendance at the service. Sadly, the Scream Queens starlet won’t be addressing the crowd as she’s still too emotional to make a speech. Poor thing!
For those of you who don’t live in California, you’ll still be able to be apart of the special day as the send off will be live streamed on Reynolds and Fisher’s website. Awwwww.
Hopefully, this memorial service will help give some closure to those affected by the twosome’s deaths.
