James Kennedy may get one last chance with Ally Lewber after the domestic violence arrest last week — but that’s it.
As we’ve reported, the Vanderpump Rules alum was arrested last Tuesday for misdemeanor domestic battery upon spouse/co-habitant after he allegedly “lifted her up and threw her to the ground” during an argument. This came after an “inebriated” James caused a “huge scene” and acted “erratic” at Kathy Hilton’s holiday party.
Days later, Ally was seen moving out of their shared home in Burbank, California. But sources told TMZ that the pair haven’t broken up — yet. Of course, that could change as she takes some time to think it through. The astrologer is taking time away from James and temporarily living in an Airbnb in the area. Ally also is heading to Ohio to spend time with her family for the holidays.

It’s good that the 28-year-old former reality star is getting some space from James to figure out her next steps. She has some tough decisions to make for herself, like if she wants to dump the DJ or give him another shot. It sounds like she’s leaning towards staying with him…
A source told Dailymail.com on Wednesday that Ally and James are “basically done” as they spend some time away from each other. But once the situation calms down? She may go back to him:
“James and Ally are basically done, hanging by a whim. They have agreed to give it some time apart and they want the dust to settle so he doesn’t lose any future opportunities in DJing. And Ally loves him enough that she wants to see if the dust settles, he will get out of it less unscathed than what has happened so far. And of course, maybe she’ll give him one more chance.”
But it would be only “one more chance” for James if they stay together. Ally won’t stick around if or when he screws up again. The insider said:
“And that is what it will be, one final chance. There are a lot of feelings still on the table for her, plus it’s the holiday season and all the feels are there with that.”
Not exactly what we want to hear… These “one more chance” ultimatums have a tendency to be not so ultimate. And it sounds to us like she shouldn’t be giving him jack!
This man allegedly body-slammed her! His previous ex-girlfriends were not shocked by the arrest, hinting at past incidents of alleged abuse in their relationship! It sounds like he has a pattern of concerning behavior, especially when he is not sober.
Even Ally’s friends and family want her to break up with James. The source continued:
“But her friends and family want her to be totally done with him. Easier said than done, but it is indeed on rocky ground and a full breakup is the most likely scenario.”
Fingers crossed. As for James? He released a statement on Instagram this week, saying that he is “committed to making meaningful changes” in his life and focusing on his “sobriety.”
While you may suspect the Bravoleb is only working on himself to save his relationship with Ally, that’s not the case, according to the insider. He’s only working on himself to save is his DJ career:
“James and his motivation to seek help is to save anything that he might have left with his reputation in the world of DJing and those he works with. It is his only outlet for money now that the Bravo train is running out. Though it looks like he might also be doing it to save his relationship with Ally, it is all about trying to make him look good and get his public image back that has taken a major hit. If him and Ally continue their relationship, that will be a bonus, but James is chasing his bottom line. Because if his DJ gigs dry up, then he is really screwed.”
James isn’t even interested in becoming a better person?! Wow. That doesn’t sound like someone sorry for his actions, just that he got caught and is now getting heat from the public. We hope the stars show Ally it’s time to kick him to the curb — for good. She deserves more than a guy who allegedly acted violently toward her and then only wants to make changes in his life so that other people like him again.
