Should we really be surprised these two guys are good friends??
50 Shades of Grey was written with Twilight in mind, after all!
Jamie Dornan‘s life is going to change after the film makes its way to the public, and he needs every piece of advice he can get to cope with it.

So, who better to cozy up to than Robert Pattinson, the star of the Twilight franchise himself??
The actor recalled his latest hangout sesh with R-Patz in his Variety spread, saying:

“I don’t remember what we talked about the last time I saw him. I think we just got drunk.”

Well, that’s one way to drown out the screaming from excited fans! LOLz!
The two guys were probably just getting chummy when they got together, and not doing it to numb themselves from loud noises.
During the span of their friendship, Jamie admitted he’s seen how fame played out for Rob. He’s not quite sure how he’s going to benefit from witnessing it though.
He said:

“I’ve been around Rob long enough to see what it’s been like for him. I don’t know if it’s been a benefit to witness that. Whatever that is.
By the way, it’s not the same thing. We’re not the Twilight franchise. We’re a different thing. Whatever my situation is, it’s going to be different from Rob’s. They are incomparable.”

While the two may be different franchises, we have a feeling their fame-situation will be particularly similar — both novels have a huge following!
Looks like we’ll just have to wait until Valentine’s day weekend to see how it all turns out!
