FOX made the official announcement this afternoon that Jane Lynch will be hosting the 63rd Primetime Emmys this year in September!
The Glee star, in her statement, raves that she was “tickled pink” to be asked to host and reveals she is “looking forward to singing, dancing and sporting my finest tracksuit.├óΓé¼┬¥ HA!
Mark Burnett, executive producer of the awards show, shared in her excitement with his statement, saying:
“Jane was my first – and only – choice as the host for this year’s Primetime Emmys, and I am glad she said ‘yes,’. She has incredible comedic timing, and is a charismatic, talented actress whose energy leaps off the screen and stage. I am thrilled and excited to have her as our host.”
As are we! As is everyone!!! Jimmy Fallon did an exceptional job with his opening last year – but we think Jane might be able to top it! We have faith in you, Jane! Let’s see what you’ve got!
