So 4:44 isn’t a new album from Jay Z?
Well, here’s what we know. In a teaser that began airing Wednesday night, a ripped-as-hell Mahershala Ali is playing a boxer with trainer Danny Glover.
We’re hearing this is going to be a Tidal exclusive short film that also stars fellow Oscars winner Lupita Nyong’o and — even more intriguing — is reportedly rated NC-17.

Note that the vid was shared by Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure. You may have heard Sprint purchased 1/3 of Tidal back in January, and this seems to be the first big payoff — free Tidal streaming if you switch to Sprint.
Claure announced:
“We’re providing our customers and anyone who signs up for Sprint a complimentary six-month trial of TIDAL HiFi so they can experience all the unique and exclusive content TIDAL has to offer.”
Not a bad deal. Plus it gets people to actually sign up for Tidal, which has not been the easiest thing.

Of course, you tell us there’s an explicit movie starring two of the hottest stars around, we’re much more interested in getting pulled out by that Tidal wave…
No clarification yet whether this film is related to new Jay Z music, but the visuals do remind us in style of Beyonc├â┬⌐‘s visual album Lemonade. So maybe it will end up connecting down the line.
