JD Vance, Who Is Catholic, Now Says The Pope Should Be 'Careful' On 'Matters Of Theology' - WOW!!

On the heels of Donald Trump’s relentless rants about Pope Leo XIV, his Vice President is following suit. On Tuesday, Vance, a Catholic, mind you, said the religious figure should “be careful” when talking about theology days after the Pope recently condemned war on X (Twitter):

“God does not bless any conflict. Anyone who is a disciple of Christ, the Prince of Peace, is never on the side of those who once wielded the sword and today drop bombs. Military action will not create space for freedom or times of #Peace, which comes only from the patient promotion of coexistence and dialogue among peoples.”

As you surely know, Trump recently threatened to wipe out Iran’s civilization unless they opened the Strait of Hormuz. On Tuesday, Vance challenged Pope Leo’s tweet at a Turning Point USA event in Athens, Georgia:

“Was God on the side of the Americans who liberated France from the Nazis? Was God on the side of the Americans who liberated Holocaust camps and liberated those, those innocent people, you know, those who had survived the Holocaust? I certainly think the answer is yes.”

The 41-year-old went on to claim he largely enjoys hearing the Pope’s takes, but sometimes disagrees:

“Now we can, of course, have disagreements about whether this or that conflict is just, but I think in the way that it’s important for the vice president of the United States to be careful when I talk about matters of public policy, I think it’s very, very important for the pope to be careful when he talks about matters of theology.”

Seriously?? That’s’ LITERALLY what he’s an expert on. Way more than Vance or any of us. He’s THE POPE. Also, wasn’t it Trump who just posted an AI photo of himself as Jesus Christ??

“But I think one of the issues here is that if you’re going to opine on matters of theology, you’ve got to be careful.
