Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO are dreaming big, y’all — and we mean double big!
The country superstar and his fabulously outspoken better half are officially taking steps toward expanding their family, and the details are enough to make even the most hardened cynic feel a little warm and fuzzy.
In her brand-new memoir Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, Bunnie is opening up like never before about their plans to welcome not just one baby… but twins! Yes, TWINS!

According to People and others who saw the memoir on Tuesday, the podcast host and author revealed in the book that after years of growth, healing, and building a rock-solid foundation together, she and Jelly Roll have found a surrogate and are preparing to begin the IVF process.

This isn’t some impulsive Hollywood whim, either. According to Bunnie, this has been a long time coming for the couple, who have weathered their fair share of storms over the past decade. She wrote in the memoir:
“Now that we’re finally stable financially and somewhat emotionally after all the healing we’ve done over this decade together, we’re talking about the future — including growing our family. J and I have a surrogate, the sweetest woman ever, and soon I’ll be starting my IVF stims.”
It’s clear this decision comes from a place of intention and deep love. Bunnie, whose real name is Alyssa DeFord, has been candid about wanting to make sure the timing was right. She didn’t just want kids, either; she wanted the right partner and the right environment. She wrote:
“I’ve waited this long to have kids with someone I knew would be a great father — and to be able to make sure they have the best life.”
And TBH, that’s hard to argue with. Jelly Roll has already shown his dedication as a dad to daughter Bailee Ann, 17, and son Noah Buddy, 9. Bunnie has proudly embraced her role as stepmom, too — and by all accounts, family means everything to them.
Of course, whenever celebrities decide to have children later in life, the judgment brigade comes marching in. But if you think Bunnie is losing sleep over unsolicited opinions, think again. She wrote:
“Some people frown upon our decision to bring babies into this world at our age, and I could give a f**k.”

She doubled down on that fierce momma-bear energy by making it crystal clear these babies will be raised in a home overflowing with the love and security she and Jelly Roll fought hard to build:
“We’re going to raise these babies in love and give them everything we were never given. I can’t wait to see a piece of me and him running around outside of our bodies. With how much IVF has advanced over the years and with the help of the most unselfish woman willing to carry twins for us, we’ll be able to make our baby dreams come true.”
