Jenelle Evans’ husband David Eason admitted to shooting and killing the Teen Mom 2 star’s pup, Nugget, after the French bulldog allegedly snapped at their two-year-old daughter, Ensley.
Seemingly to defend his actions, the 30-year-old former reality star took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a video of the tot attempting to give their pup a kiss, only to have the pooch snap right at her face.

He captioned the clip:
“I dont give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face. Whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog and I dont put up with that s**t at all. I’m all about protecting my family, it is my lifes mission. Some people are worth killing or dying for and my family means that much to me.”
The pipe welder also uploaded a close-up of Ensley’s face, revealing a red mark on her cheek that he purported was caused by the animal. He added:
“You can hate me all you want but this isnt the first time the dog bit Ensley aggressively. The only person that can judge weather or not a animal is a danger to MY CHILD is ME.”
Um? Even if that’s true, David, you’re not the only person that can judge whether said animal has a RIGHT TO LIVE. As we wrote, there are shelters that can take animals in and try to find homes more suited to caring for them — in this case, homes without children too young to grasp the concept of invading an animal’s personal space.

Eason’s confession came hours after outlets first reported news of the slaying. According to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Department, they received a call by a male and “it was relayed that the woman’s husband had killed her dog.” Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
Evans, meanwhile, has fled her and Eason’s North Carolina home as a result of the incident. A source told Us Weekly that she briefly returned to “pack a bag,” adding that she’s now “scared and terrified” of her husband and “doesn’t feel safe” with him anymore.

Soon after David made his confession, the 27-year-old posted an emotional tribute to Nugget on Instagram. Captioning a selfie of her posing with the pup (above), she wrote:
“Nugget… I’m crying everyday. I love you so much and I’m so sorry. I’m speechless. You were my side kick and knew the moment I felt bad and would cuddle with me. You still had a lot to learn and a lot to grow from your lessons. Everyday I wake up you’re not here, when I come home you’re not here, when I go to bed… you’re not here. You’re gone forever and there’s no coming back. #Heartbroken #Distraught.”
The JE Cosmetics founder’s tribute came hours after she posted a cryptic status on Facebook, revealing that she was “feeling devastated.” She also posted videos that showed her listening to Ariana Grande‘s breakup song In My Head, causing fans to speculate that the couple was on the rocks.
A second insider explained to Us that the couple had been “fighting really badly” lately and the mother-of-three was “over” the relationship, which prompted her to post the message. The source added that Jenelle’s friends “hope [Nugget’s death] is what gets Jenelle to finally leave David.”
Thankfully, the killing did not happen in front of Evans’ kids. Per the report, the MTV personality’s oldest son, Jace, nine, was on a cruise with her mother, Barbara, at the time; her four-year-old son, Kaiser, whom she shares with ex Nathan Griffith, was in her care when the incident occurred.
So sickening. Our hearts are with Jenelle during this tough time.
