Jennifer Aniston’s inner circle knows they’re divine creatures!
To celebrate her 50th birthday earlier this year, the Murder Mystery star rounded up six of her famous friends for a fun weekend in Mexico. While the trip wasn’t entirely smooth sailing (Jen’s private jet had to make an emergency landing!), the group eventually found their way to their destination, where they performed their sacred “goddess circle” ritual.
Wait, what?
Apparently, Jen and her closest pals have been doing this tradition for over three decades — particularly during each other’s major life events, including both of the star’s weddings to Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux.

So, what actually goes down in this ritual? Do Jen and her friends sacrifice an aspiring ingenue and dance around a bonfire naked?
Well… not exactly!

According to a recent interview the icon did with the New York Times, she and the other participants sit cross-legged on the floor, pass around a charm and a feather-decorated stick, and set their intentions.
Huh. Sounds easy!
It’s unclear who exactly Aniston does this ritual with. However, Courteney Cox and Jimmy Kimmel’s wife Molly were headed to Mexico for Jen’s birthday celebration — so they could very well be fellow goddesses!
It’s hard to argue the ritual isn’t working. We mean, the Dumplin’ actress said she’s been doing it for over 30 years: about the same amount of time she’s been working in Hollywood — and her magical powers are only getting stronger!
Jen told the NYT she feels like she’s entering a “creatively fulfilling period” as she breezes into her 50s, revealing:
“I’m entering into what I feel is one of the most creatively fulfilling periods of my life. I’ve been doing this for 30 years and I feel like it’s just about to really bloom.”
She ain’t wrong!
This November, the Friends alum will be making her return to TV for Apple’s hotly-anticipated series, The Morning Show, in which she stars alongside Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell. Jen is also executive producing the show with Reese.
All in all, it looks like we’re about to hit a Jenaissance, and the actress is oh so ready for it. She added:
“It’s taken time for me to get where I am and I put a lot of work into my craft. I’ve failed. I’ve succeeded. I’ve overcome. I’ve, you know, I’ve stayed around. I’m still here.”
And here she’ll stay!
Do you and YOUR friend group have any unconventional traditions?
