Jessica Simpson Says Her ‘World Had Been Turned Upside Down’ After Ex Eric Johnson’s Betrayal - And Gives Relationship Status!

Jessica Simpson was brutally honest about her painful breakup with her estranged husband, Eric Johnson!

On Thursday, the singer took to the stage at the Luck Reunion music festival in Spicewood, Texas, where she opened up about her life being “turned upside down” while talking about the creation of her upcoming album Nashville Canyon, Pt. 1. She told the crowd:

“Like I said, I was out in Nashville and I had my heart wide open. I was in a very intuitive state and I had asked some very personal questions on the home front and I found out that my world had been turned upside down and that life was now very different.”

It sounds like she’s alluding to Eric allegedly cheating on her! She then gave a relationship status:

“I’m a very single lady.”

Guess it answers the question about whether she was seeing a new guy after her split with Eric! Oh, and that the former couple obviously are not back together! Granted, we don’t expect a reconciliation between her and the former athlete! It is O-V-E-R between them! Jessica continued:

“You know, when we open our hearts, sometimes we’re vulnerable and it just gets broken and maybe sometimes we forget that we’ve been broken for a really long time. When we meet ourselves, when we write, when we sing, when we connect with ourselves, we find all the answers.”

She’s getting deep in this new era! Wow! The former reality star then introduced her new track Leave as a “kind of a heartbreak, pissed-off song” before performing it. If you haven’t heard the track yet, it gives off a lot of Alanis Morrisette vibes but country! And Jess GOES OFF about Eric’s alleged infidelity in it! She doesn’t hold back!
