Jimmy Fallon & Justin Timberlake Give SNL Their Highest Ratings In Two Years!!!

jimmy fallon justin timeberlake give snl highest ratings in 2 years
Um, duh! LOLz!
The minute that we heard Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake were going to be on Saturday Night Live together, we knew that it was going to be HIGHlarious!
And apparently everyone else thought so too because their show gave SNL the highest ratings they’ve had in almost two whole years!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, ├óΓé¼┼ôthe Dec. 21 episode averaged a 6.3 rating and 16 share among households in Nielsen’s 56 metered markets.├óΓé¼┬¥
The last time the numbers came close to this was partially because the NFL gave a lead-in to the Charles Barkley hosted show on January 7th, 2012.
But what about with no help from the NFL?
We├óΓé¼Γäód have to go all the way back to 2011 when –surprise! — JT was the host of the season finale, and the key demographic of adults 18-49 rated a 4.5.
We’re seeing a common denominator here.
And the last biggest rating of a Christmas special was allllllllll the way in 2004, which was hosted by Robert De Niro, and Destiny’s Child performed.
That’s almost a decade ago!!!
Could this mark a resurgence for SNL?
Who knows, but we’re just so happy that Lorne Michaels made this episode happen!
