This is great news! Congrats, Jimmy!
Jimmy Fallon’s late night show has been steadily getting better, and gaining more and more viewers. We like to think that it’s because of his special kind of humor mixed with an uncanny ability the get the coolest and most obscure bands to come play on his show.
Plus his house band is the freaking Roots, how rad is that?
Anyway, since he was brought on in mid-season, his renewal happens at weird times of the year. Like now. And it’ll last through early 2012.
Here’s some stats on his show:
Fallon grew his ratings 16 percent this year to average 1.8 million viewers, while holding steady with a 0.6 in the adult demo. Plus, he’s widened his lead in both measures over rival CBS’ The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
