It’s been a LONG time coming, but justice has finally been served!
Jodi Arias —who killed her one-time boyfriend, Travis Alexander, over 5 years ago— was convicted of first degree murder this afternoon and will now face the possibility of the death penalty.
Jodi only admitted earlier this year that she shot, nearly decapitated, and then stabbed her lover 27 times on June 4, 2008 after initially blaming his death on masked home invaders.
While the prosecution painted the pretty 32-year-old brunette as a spiteful ex who calculated her revenge out of jealousy, Jodi claimed she murdered Travis out of self defense.
When she testified, Jodi insisted that Travis was a “bully,” but she couldn’t quite piece together what happened during the kill, with various changes in her story throughout the trial.
12 jurors deliberated and came to the unanimous decision after listening to testimony throughout the week.
The aggravation trial will begin tommorow to determine whether or not Jodi will in fact get the death penalty.
