Joe Exotic Planning To Ask For A Presidential Pardon From Donald Trump!

Joe Exotic isn’t wasting any time while in prison!

Sources have shared with TMZ that the Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness subject and his legal team based in Fort Worth, Texas are preparing a case file that will be sent to President Donald Trump in the hopes of him being granted a presidential pardon.

For those not familiar, a pardon is a decision made to allow a person to be relieved of some or all legal consequences which have resulted from a criminal conviction. This may be granted before or after conviction, depending on the jurisdiction. It’s essentially the country saying yeah, it’s cool, we think they should be free from their punishment! It does NOT mean they’re found innocent of their crimes.

 

 

 

Obviously, the endgame is to get Mr. Maldonado-Passage out of jail because his legal team and supporters — who have wrapped a huge bus with their pleas — claim he was wrongfully convicted in the murder-for-hire plot against Carole Baskin.

Though again, a pardon doesn’t mean you get off because you’re innocent. It means you’re still considered guilty and you’re just getting off because you’ve been granted an exception.

By the way, he’s not the first public figure to request a presidential help. Joe Giudice has done so and even Kim Kardashian West has worked with the president in an attempt to secure clemencies for inmates. However, the grounds here are definitely interesting because of Joe’s extremely well-documented hatred for the Big Cat Rescue owner…

You may recall that Trump previously said he would “look into” pardoning Mr. Exotic during a coronavirus press conference in April. New York Post reporter Steven Nelson asked:

“One of the biggest ratings hits of the coronavirus aside from these briefings has been a show on Netflix called Tiger King. The man who starred in this is a former zoo owner serving a 22-year prison sentence, he’s asking for a pardon, saying he was unfairly convicted. Your son yesterday jokingly said that he was going to advocate for it and I was wondering if you’d seen the show and had any thoughts on pardoning him.”

Trump replied:

“Which son? Must be Don.”

Referring to Donald Trump Jr., Steven confirmed:

“It was.”

The father of five replied:

“I had a feeling it was Don. Is that what he said? I know nothing about it. He had 22 years for what? What did he do?”

All that time on Twitter and he doesn’t know about Joe??

Oh, right. It’s because he doesn’t listen or pay attention. He just spews his own thoughts.

After the reporter further explained the plot of the Netflix series, the 73-year-old responded:

“I’ll take a look.”
