Nature Calls Joel McHale Back To TV! Get The Deets On His Next Sitcom The Great Indoors!

Hopefully, third time’s a charm for Joel McHale!
After wrapping up hosting The Soup for over 12 years, the actor is set to star in a CBS comedy pilot The Great Indoors!
According to reports, the (sadly, former) Community actor will play an adventure reporter named Joel (because why not?) who has to change his ways when he becomes the boss of a group of millennials in the digital department of the magazine!
After McHale’s mountain climbing, bear-fighting, sardonic man’s man character suffers an injury, he’s forced to take a desk job for the magazine’s digital department — and finds himself surrounded by young professionals who view him as an ancient oddity!

So, picture any episode of Parks and Recreation where Ron Swanson had to interact with a group of young people. LOLz!
The workplace comedy was written by Tosh.0 creator Mike Gibbons, who will also executive produce the multi-cam sitcom!
After The Soup and Community were cancelled last year, we can’t wait to see McHale back on network TV for The Great Indoors!
