Sounds like John Cena realizes how much of a mistake he made in deciding to call things off with longtime girlfriend Nikki Bella…
The pro wrestler showed up on the set of Today Monday morning alongside hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, and he sounded VERY regretful about the pair deciding to cancel their wedding — which would have taken place just days ago!

Speaking candidly to the hosts, the 41-year-old wrestler-turned-actor said about Nikki (below):
“It’s up and it’s down. I’ve always been honest with you guys, I also don’t want to ruin the viewers’ morning by giving them a bowl of sadness soup. It’s been up and it’s been down. It’s been incredibly reflective, which is amazing, but it’s very difficult. I had my heart broken out of nowhere ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ well, for me it was out of nowhere. And anyone who has experienced that knows that it comes with a series of bad feelings. But I’ve looked at myself every day and I’ve tried to evaluate myself and the woman that I love.”
And Cena continued on, too, noting that he’s not out there looking for other women and still is really only interested in Nikki (below):
“But for anyone speculating on like what I’m doing with my life now. I still love Nicole, I still would love to marry Nicole, I still would love to have a family with Nicole. There was an unfortunate set of circumstances where our relationship ended. There’s been a lot of speculation recently about me being seen in public, and everyone’s been like, ├óΓé¼╦£Oh John Cena’s enjoying the single life.’ No, I was supposed to be married and have a honeymoon over these two weeks. I am in my house alone surrounded by these emotionally strong memories. And everyday from 6 to 9 I get out of the house and talk to strangers as social interaction … I don’t want anybody else. I love Nicole and I’m really trying to support her in her trying to find whatever it is she wants that made this fall apart in the first place.”
The most interesting thing, though, centers on how John and Nikki had allegedly been at different places in regards to their stances on marriage and children. She wanted a family, while he had been hesitant about it.
To hear Cena talk now to Kotb and Gifford, though, it sure sounds like he’s having a major change of heart to get Nikki back (below):
“If you look at me five years ago: stubborn, selfish, self-focused, life had always been about me. And then slowly over time this woman waltzes in and just steals my heart, and whether I wanna realize it or not, she becomes my number one. So I’m willing to go back on all of these things that I say, and a lot of them I would hang onto just out of stubbornness. ├óΓé¼╦£I won’t have kids,’ and it took a very strong look in the mirror for me to be like, ├óΓé¼╦£Why? This is person is my number one and it’s something that’s very valuable to her. Of course we can do this, and I think it would be wonderful.'”
