Music legend John Lennon is poised to do what few foreign born folks have done before him — get his likeness plastered on a U.S. stamp!
Well, it’s not for sure yet, but the U.S. Post Office has approved him as a candidate!!
If they do indeed choose the Let It Be Mailed singer, it would be a bit of brilliant news for the bazillions of Beatles fans living in the States! Especially those who get extra indecisive at the USPS checkout counter!
A spokesperson for the U.S. Postal Service revealed:
├óΓé¼┼ôIt├óΓé¼Γäós general policy that U.S. stamps feature Americans or American-related subjects, but other subjects can be considered if the subject had a truly significant impact on American history or culture.”
We definitely think Mr. Lennon fits the bill!!!
Yay!! We haven’t been this excited about anything stamps related since Stamps the band came in to perform for us, LOLz!!
