John Mayer and Kat Stickler have gone their separate ways.
After a months-long romance with the TikTok influencer, the Gravity singer is once again a single man. Back in October, we reported John had struck up a relationship with Kat after seeking out and pursuing her. Over the next several months, the pair were seen together on romantic date nights as everything seemed peaches and cream… But the dream is over! They’ve split!
On Tuesday, a source revealed to Us Weekly that the lovebirds have decided to fly off in different directions… a while ago!
“[The pair] are no longer seeing each other and split a few months ago.”
Whoa! It’s already been a few months?! They sure managed to keep a tight lid on that information for a while!

The insider went on to point out the relationship was “never going to be a serious thing” despite previous reports. In December, an insider told Us Weekly John was looking to “settle down” soon:
“John is at a point in his life where he is ready to settle down and is looking to seriously date.”
And prior to that, he himself spoke about marriage on the Comfort Food podcast:
“I’ve never told anyone this. People don’t think I want to be married. I absolutely want to be married. You know the secret, which is that I’m actually fairly well-adjusted. I so badly want to get married if only for my wife to just know in her heart, like, ‘John will know what to do.’ I just think that level of being relied on is the hottest thing in the world to me. Like, ‘If my husband was here, he would know what to do. Call John. Call my husband.’ I just think … you’re a full grown-up when this is your romantic fantasy. You’re a fully fledged grown-up.”
However, it seems Kat is not the one he’s ready to be tied down by. But don’t get it twisted… On Tuesday, the source revealed that while their romance has come to an end, their mutual respect lives on:
“It wasn’t a dramatic split, the relationship just fizzled out. They realized they have very different lifestyles but it was a lot of fun while it lasted and are still friends.”
Well hey, if they could both leave the relationship on good terms and with their heads held high, we’d consider that a success!
The source continued to open up more about Kat, revealing how protective she is of her daughter and bringing men around her:
“Kat was always hesitant bringing her daughter around someone she was dating and both of their busy schedules made it hard to navigate.”
