Though many have speculated otherwise, sources close to John Travolta insist that the actor still holds true to his beliefs in Scientology, even after acknowledging his son’s battle with autism.
When John testified in the recent Bahamina extortion case, he publicly announced that his late son, Jett Travolta, was autistic. This was the first public stance he had taken on the issue, as Scientology does not believe in the illness.
Breaking his silence on the issue has left some of the leaders in the Scientology community unhappy, but John remains “firmly committed” to the Church and we are told that he has admitted to using Scientology as “therapy” in trying to cope with his son’s death.
We don’t agree with the cause, but if it helps John to cope, we won’t begrudge him that. Maybe the head honchos of Scientology should think about doing the same.
