Gene Wilder apparently has some pretty strong feelings about Tim Burton‘s remake of Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, starring Johnny Depp as ol’ Willy boy.
The actor, best known for his role as THE candyman in the 1971 Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory film, came clean in an interview Thursday night, speaking up about Tim’s take on the Roald Dahl classic.
He said:
“I think it’s an insult.. It’s probably Warner Bros.’ insult.”
He then added:
“Johnny Depp, I think, is a good actor, but I don’t care for that director. He’s a talented man, but I don’t care for him doing stuff like he did.”
Harsh!! But at least he’s a fan of Johnny, as are we! 😉
Perezcious readers, which Wonka film do U like best?!
