In Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, Johnny Depp’s character Jack Sparrow posed the question “why is the rum gone?”
Many people had been posing a similar question about Depp’s film The Rum Diary, which has been finished for almost two years…but now it has finally gotten a release date!
The film adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson’s The Rum Diary will be released in theaters on Oct 28, 2011.
In the meanwhile, those of us who need to see Johnny Depp taking on a strange character in film can re-watch Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas…or pretty much EVERY film he’s ever made. Ha!
