Jordon Hudson may look like she’s living a luxurious life by dating the super-successful football coach Bill Belichick, but she claims the romance has led to the “erasure” of her identity! Oh, boy…
On Tuesday, the Washington Post obtained a heartfelt apology letter Jordon wrote to her cheerleading team BlackOut on December 14, 2024, in which she revealed she had no other option but to quit!
The beauty pageant star opened the letter by citing “the philosophy of Team, Teammate, Self,” which is something she uses “in my office and in my household.” While she didn’t name-drop her older beau in the note, that’s a mantra he’s adopted from the Naval Academy, per the outlet.

She explained that due to her “inability to prioritize” the team, located in Hingham, Massachusetts, amid growing “scheduling conflicts,” she and the staff decided it was best for her “to with[draw] from the roster” and have the team select “a flyer that is able to make that rightful commitment to reliable practice attendance.” She insisted “this decision was not made suddenly nor lightly,” explaining:
“I hope you can all understand that my absences were symptomatic of my commitment to put the needs of my other ‘team(s)’ above my own need for recreation. Selfishly, I would have preferred to be in the gym, with all of you, doing what I love: cheerleading.”
Jordon apologized to her fellow cheerleaders:
“I did my absolute best to be present at practices (both physically and mentally) and I apologize profusely for letting you down, if I did, in any way.”
The fisherman’s daughter also thanked her teammates for putting up with the unwanted attention her romance brought.
While she met Bill on a plane in 2021, the world didn’t start picking up on the romance until the summer of 2024. It’s been reported they started dating in early 2023. They’re facing the most media attention they ever have these days, but news of the May-December romance was still a shocker — and Jordon claims it disrupted her cheer endeavors, she continued:
“I want to take a moment to both apologize for, and simultaneously thank you for tolerating, all of the ‘baggage’ that comes with having me around: from the interlopers at practice, to the subsequent media exploitation, to the lack of dependability. I know none of you asked for that.”
She doubled down:
“In the same breath, I can’t thank you enough for the sense of grounding you have provided for me during a difficult period in my life. During this time, I have faced a slow, exterior erasure of my strong, individual identity. I can’t thank you for helping me keep that in tact by embracing me, for me. It is so difficult for me to give up my time with you, because I feel like I am giving up a part of myself in the process.”
Just… wow.
She really did the most with this lengthy, uber-formal letter! It’s like she was already deep in the weeds of being Bill’s rep and was putting her new PR skills to the test. Hah!
While Jordon has reportedly been working hard behind the scenes on all things Bill, she tried her hand at another one of her passions by competing for Miss Maine last weekend — only to come in a worse placement than the year prior. Rough! But we bet she’s blaming that on her scandalous romance, too!
