Judd Apatow Thinks Comedy Should Have Its Own Oscar Category

Ha! Sound to us like Judd wants an Oscar!
During a Los Angeles Times forum, comedy producer/director Judd Apatow said that the thinks there should be a separate category for comedy at the Oscars:

“It doesn├óΓé¼Γäót seem like it├óΓé¼Γäós screwing up Schindler├óΓé¼Γäós List for Hangover to have its own category. Since comedies are rarely up for Oscars, it does make sense to have a comedy category. It would just add more fun categories.”

Given the fact that the Oscars made the decision to allow ten nominees for Best Picture recently, we actually don’t see any reason why they couldn’t do this as well!
Maybe if they hurry up, they can add this category in time for Bridesmaids to snag a Best Comedy award! You’d like that, wouldn’t U Judd? LOLz!
