Julianne Hough & Brooks Laich Spotted On Cozy Brunch Date Together Amid Marriage Troubles

Are Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich working things out after all?

We’ve been keeping close tabs on the couple lately as several signs and chatty sources close to them have hinted the pair’s marriage was on the rocks. They haven’t been spending much time together recently and have been noticeably absent on each other’s social media feeds, among other telling signs.

However, on Saturday morning, the pair stepped out for a brunch date together in Los Angeles and it’s giving us hope these two aren’t quite over yet!

Paparazzi spotted the Dancing With the Stars alum and the professional hockey player getting breakfast at Joan’s on Third, a trendy cafe and well-known celebrity hotspot in El Lay. If these two wanted to be seen in public together they certainly made sure of it by picking that location. Although, they did keep it casual with their respective ensembles!

The 31-year-old TV and film star sported a beige long-sleeve cropped sweater which she paired with off-white joggers and matching black sneakers, purse, and large sunglasses. Brooks, for his part, wore a black, long-sleeve Nike shirt with matching shorts and sneakers for a monochromatic, comfy look.

All things considered, the pair seemed to be in good spirits in the photos captured of ’em! We’re picking up on the comfortable and familiar vibes one normally sees between spouses, full of smiles and laughter — and none of the tension and disconnect we’ve been hearing so much about.

Hough and her dance company are currently on a traveling self-help tour with Oprah Winfrey but she clearly made the effort to spend some much-needed quality time with her man. Whether they can work through their issues and grow through this challenging time together remains to be seen.

An insider recently shared this seemingly optimistic take on the ongoing situation with E! News:

“Julianne and Brooks care a great deal about each other. They are navigating through the up and downs of this relationship together. They prefer to deal any issues privately because they share many friends and family and they wouldn’t want to involve them in their relationship challenges.”

The source added that “Brooks is still very much a part of Julianne’s family and regularly spends time with [her brother] Derek.”

As we reported, days before this fun outing, Julianne shared a cryptic post about growing apart from the ones you love that really had us worried.

She reposted quote by psychology writer Heidi Priebe which read:

“To love someone long-term is to attend a thousand funerals of the people they used to be. The people they’re too exhausted to be any longer. The people they don’t recognise inside themselves anymore. The people they grew out of, the people they never ended up growing into. We so badly want the people we love to get their spark back when it burns out; to become speedily found when they are lost.”

The second part of the message continued:

“But it is not our job to hold anyone accountable to the people they used to be. It is our job to travel with them between each version and to honour what emerges along the way. Sometimes it will be an even more luminescent flame. Sometimes it will be a flicker that disappears and temporarily floods the room with a perfect and necessary darkness.”
