OMG Remember When Justin Baldoni Told Blake Lively He Spoke To Her Dead Father?! His Religion Is NOT Into That!

Justin Baldoni Spoke To Blake Lively's Dead Father -- Even Though It's 'Not Encouraged' By His Religion!!

Justin Baldoni talking to the dead is apparently nothing new for him — but it’s “not encouraged” by his faith!

One of the most outrageous complaints in Blake Lively‘s lawsuit against Justin was the allegation that he told her he was speaking to her dead father Ernie Lively shortly after his death in 2021. She was deeply upset, naturally, at the loss of her beloved father and was disturbed when the It Ends With Us director claimed “he could speak to the dead, and on several occasions told [Lively] that he had spoken to her dead father.” Mind you, this was a person he’d never met!

Blake found the comments “off putting and violative” and couldn’t believe that the actor would “claim a personal relationship with [Lively’s] recently deceased father.” Yeah, it’s upsetting. It’d be one thing if Blake went to a medium with the hope of hearing from Ernie. It’s very different for a co-worker to be supposedly doing this without consent. We don’t blame her for being disturbed.

Not only that, it’s one of the only things Justin hasn’t offered any defense for, any evidence showing he did nothing wrong. He seems to just be shrugging that one off! Messed up, right?

But after what we’ve just read about Justin’s religion, we have to know… is this whole speaking with the dead thing part of it??

In The Hollywood Reporter‘s explosive new report on the IEWU scandal on Friday, they determined that Justin has been boasting about his connection to the dead for years! In fact, in 2017, he gave a talk as part of a Baha’i Teachings lecture series titled What if Birth and Death are Actually the Same? In the speech, he encouraged people to think of death in a more “joyful” light because whatever higher power you believe in “knew and they know where we’re going.”

You can hear the whole thing here:

Baha’i is the unique religious group he’s a part of — and an aspect that could have been at the center of his issues with Blake and other cast members. But here’s the inneresting thing…

While those in the faith have a strong belief in the afterlife, speaking to the dead ISN’T encouraged! Justin is an outlier! Zackery Heern — a member of the faith and a professor at Idaho State University — told THR that “the Baha’i writings don’t say much about” seances, but that it “is not encouraged” to speak to the dead. He added:

“It’s a bit fringe for Baha’i.”

Whoa. For someone who seems so committed to his religion, it’s interesting to hear he’s going against it in other ways!

But this seems to be something that Justin really believes in because even in his latest interview on Gent’s Talk earlier this month, he shared some thoughts on the afterlife, saying:

“The people that love us the most that aren’t here anymore are just guiding us in these beautiful ways. I can feel so often the nudge.”

Guess he was guided to tell Blake he was chatting with Ernie. Sigh…

Thoughts on this?? Sound OFF (below).
