We saw this coming a mile away!
Justin Timberlake will be saying Bye Bye Bye to his denim line William Rast by the end of this year.
Even though the line, which was founded by JT and his best friend Trace Ayala back in 2005, won “Brand of the Year” back in 2010, it’s since been relegated to discount racks in JCPenney and other similar stores.
And unlike Beyonce, who gave a shoutout to Dereon jeans in Single Ladies, the former boy bander never mentions his denim line, like, EVER.
A source said:
“Not a lot of retailers wanted it. Because the perception is [Justin├óΓé¼Γäós] not involved, so why would anyone want to wear it?”
Exactly!
A rep for William Rast, however, said that Justin would “eternally” be a part of the brand because the name itself is “a combination of Justin├óΓé¼Γäós grandfather├óΓé¼Γäós name and Justin├óΓé¼Γäós best friend├óΓé¼Γäós grandfather├óΓé¼Γäós name.”
Guess it’ll only be Tom Ford jeans from now on!
