The punches just keep rolling in for Kanye West.
As you know, he’s already suffered some serious career blows after he was banned from entering the UK and his London festival was cancelled — and now his former bodyguard is suing him! In court docs obtained by TMZ on Wednesday, Jonathan Monroe claimed he wasn’t paid the wages he was owed and worked overtime a lot. He claims to have worked for Ye as a full-time security guard in 2021.

In a sum that totals nearly $1 MILLION, Monroe is seeking $7,725 for unpaid overtime, $37,620 in lost wages, and $500,000 in lost earnings. On top of this, he also wants $100k for pain and suffering, and $100k in punitive damages.
This adds up to around $850,000!
Collecting his wages is something Monroe claims he tried to do before, but Ye didn’t cooperate. For instance, he says once the musician asked him to fill the tank of his Lamborghini:
“When I asked for cash or use of his credit card to cover the expense, [Kanye] walked away from me without a response.”
So now he’s seeking legal help to get what he says he’s owed. He’s not the first employee of Ye’s to do so, either! Yikes.
