He needs to let it go!
Karl Lagerfeld is clearly enamored with Michelle Obama‘s bangs. And when we say enamored, we mean obsessed!
Back in late January, the creative director of Chanel famously dismissed FLOTUS’s new fringe, saying it made her look like a news anchor on LCI (France’s version of CNN), and in case the whole world had moved on and forgotten about the whole thing, he elaborated on his comment when he was a guest on LCI on Friday.
The host of the program asked the designer which news anchor in particular he felt MObama resembled and Karl answered Marie-Aline Meliyi, saying that the two could be sisters!
He also added:
“I’m a great admirer of Madame Obama, I just prefer her without bangs because it doesn’t cover her face. But if she wanted to do it for her fiftieth birthday, then I like it.”
Frankly, we don’t see much of a resemblance between Meliyi and the First Lady, but whatever!
Unkle Karl has certainly said worse things than this in the past!
